2023 CASE Registration Rules 

  1. All dollar figures are listed in NZD
  2. All accepted papers (including Presentation Only paper and IEEE Journal/Transaction Contributions) must pay a FULL registration fee (in-person or virtual/online) by 29 June 2023, otherwise they will be considered withdrawn. 
  3. Student registration can be used to attend the conference but CANNOT be used for the publication of accepted papers. If a student is the only author presenting the paper, he/she must register with a full registration fee for the paper to be included in the publication.
  4. Each IN-PERSON registration can upload up to two accepted papers, but the second paper will be subject to a $550 additional paper surcharge.
  5. Each VIRTUAL/ONLINE registration fee can only upload one accepted paper. 
  6. An Extra Page Charge is $290/page for any paper over 6 pages to a maximum of 2 additional pages.
  7. If registering at the IEEE Member rates, a valid member number must be provided. 
  8. Student attendees must provide a copy of their student ID or a letter from the related Department Head/Chair stating that the attendee is a full-time student. 
  9. IN-PERSON registration fees will cover access to all planned conference sessions including workshops, proceedings, coffee breaks, 3 lunches, welcome reception, banquet dinner, and Farewell reception. 
  10. Additional tickets to the banquet dinner can be purchased for $125
  11. Company visits are subject to a fee but the Lab visits are free.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • All refund requests must be made in writing and sent to ieeecase@auckland.ac.nz
  • There will be no refunds to presenting authors
  • Cancellations by paid registrants (non-authors) made no later than 45 days prior to the conference may be eligible for a partial refund. Any request for a refund is at the discretion of the conference committee
  • Alternative to refund – paid registrations can be transferred to another member of the same organisation. The request for this must be received no later than 72 hours prior to the conference start
  • Change of registration type from in-person to virtual request (due to visa issues) should be made no later than 14 days prior to the conference to be eligible for a partial refund.
